Montreal - beautiful old city. One of the highlights was a visit to the site of the 1976 Summer Olympics. Great stop, below are a few shots of the observatory. The first photo shows the outside of the observatory... notice the track up the center. That's the oversized elevator track. The next few shots are the views on the way up. Once at the top, you can see for miles and get a real perspective of how Montreal is laid out. I highly recommend taking this trip at the beginning of any visit to Montreal. After this, we visited different sections of the stadium. A highlight was seeing high dive practice in the olympic pool. Finally, a tour of the Biodome. Great display of animals, birds, etc. Great visit, friendly people everywhere.
