The Harbor of Boothbay Harbor, ME

The August 4th - 7th trip to Boothbay Harbor included a magnificent trip on the Schooner Lazy Jack, a historic wooden windjammer. Any trip to Boothbay should include a schooner trip on the harbor. Another great schooner on Boothbay is the Schooner Eastwind, its owners built this schooner. It's a little bigger than the Lazy Jack providing a slightly different sailing perspective. My trip did not include a ride on the Eastwind, but I hope to do that next time. (Of course, a repeat trip on the Lazy Jack would be splendid as well. I suggest hitting them both!) Below are a few shots from the beautiful Harbor of Boothbay. P.S., you also have to check out the Boothbay Lobster Wharf....in fact just typing this makes my mouth water for some of their delicious freshly cooked steamed clams and lobster. If you catch them at the right time, they'll even shuck an oyster for you.
